Week 5 Bonus!

Hello all!  Totally forgot it was Friday until just now. I gotta get my act together. 

This week's challenge is all about your spiritual health.  It is just as important as your physical health. In fact, I believe, that they are very very intertwined. If you are feeling down and empty... eating right and exercising are usually the last thing on your mind.  Sermon concluded. 

So here we go.. I would like you to write 5 things you are thankful for every day.  Please do not repeat your items. Share your list with someone.  It can be here for your team, your family or a friend or coworker.  By the end of this week I hope you are finding some of the little things we usually overlook.

Scoring for this are:  5 days -- 5 things a day -- x 7 points per day = 35 Bonus points.

I know it is early but I am thankful for each and every one of you who do this challenge.  Over the past year I have lost almost 30 pounds and I know that is because I feel like you all are pushing me to make better decisions.  In the approximately 4 months that we did not have a challenge going I gained back 7 pounds. I watched myself make horrid choices.  Thank you for making me better.

Week 3 results

Thank you to all of you who got your points in.  I really appreciate it.  I could tell by your numbers that everyone seemed to like exercising outside.  Thankfully that was last week because this week, at least in Pittsburgh, we are getting deluged.  I know we need the rain, but really..........

Week 4 Bonus Challenge

I cannot believe we are already getting ready for week 4.  Heavens this time is flying....and I am on a plateau that I cannot get off of. This leads me to this week's bonus challenge.

Rarely do I look at portion size and I think that is my problem so here's the challenge that always shows me the error of my ways.

This week for one breakfast, one lunch and one dinner I want to serve yourself as you normally do.  However, before you dig in, measure what you have given yourself and compare it to the actual serving size that is recommended. Compare the two...how good are you at actually eating a serving size?  I know that I am going to be kicking myself this week.

Scoring: It is all or nothing.  Measure out one breakfast, one lunch and one dinner = 35 bonus points.
